Description of Project

RePlast FinEst -project is a broadly based Finnish- Estonian joint project, which is carried out as a part of FinEst Interreg III A- programme funded by Finnish and Estonian Ministries of Environment, participating organizations and enterprises.

The project started on the 15 th of March 2005 and ends on the 31 st of October 2007.

The RePlast FinEst -projects main objective is to develop and promote the collecting, recycling and material recovery of plastics and WEEE plastic components in Finland and Estonia . The project offers:

  • Up dated and researched expertise knowledge
  • High quality development meetings
  • Active and effective net works
  • Direct influential channels between environmental authorities and research institutes.

The project is implemented by the University of Helsinki , Palmenia Centre for Continuing Education, Tallinn University of Technology, Department of Material Engineering and Muovipoli Ltd.

Approximately 40 enterprises, organizations and authorities in Finland and in Estonia participate in the project.
