Publication Procedures1. To be considered for publication in the Proceedings, the completed manuscript must be received by 31 July 2004 both as hard copy (2 copies double spaced on A4 paper) and in electronic format on 3.5" diskette or on compact disc (CD) in Word (PC) at the following address: SIL Editor A full record of receipt and relevant information will be maintained by the Congress Organizing Committee and the Editor. 2. No paper will be accepted unless the author (corresponding author for multiple authors) agrees in writing to pay any page charges (US $100 per page) in excess of 4 printed pages (see attached pdf-form below). Manuscripts will not be modified in galley proof stages in an attempt to reduce length and excess page charges. Papers will be edited by the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors and reviewed by the chairpersons of the scientific and poster sessions in which the papers were presented. Where revisions are needed, the review(s) will be sent electronically to the corresponding author (ONLY). Accepted papers will be copy edited and set in galley. Proofs will be set and sent to the corresponding author ONLY. Galley proofs must be processed within 48 hours of receipt. It is the author's responsibility to have an acceptable representative available to check proofs if he/she is not available. Only the senior or corresponding author will be contacted. Only corrections are acceptable at this stage. Major changes will be made only if payment is received in advance at the rate US $100 per page. ReprintsAuthors will receive 50 free reprints but can order more when they receive proofs. Additional reprints will be at the author's expense. There will be no gratis reprints of Abstracts, which can only be purchased. Proofs and reprint orders are to be sent directly to the publisher.
